mysterious girl

so there are six kids in my family.

i have a very varied taste in music. this is mostly due to having four older siblings growing up in the 90's. their tastes spanned r&b, grunge, pop and mgm musicals.

youtube stole my morning today as i watched countless peter andre clips and laughed myself to tears (i can't blame my love of peter andre on anyone but myself)

this is one of my favourite 90's r&b tracks.

i have also spent a lot of time drooling over this damn blog lately.

18 weeks on a golf course on our anniversary

woah.

a bit emotional right now. just read timmy's blog and now i'm feeling pretty loved up.

yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversary. two whole years.

if you don't know timmy you can get to know him through his photos. they bare his soul. they show his love for people, his kind heart, his creativity, his understanding.

they don't however, translate a massive part of who timmy is. that is that he is crazy. he loves to make everyone laugh. one of my favourite ways he does this is by dancing (there are always pelvic thrusts involved, often some shimmying, and sometimes if you're lucky you get to see a performance on the rooftop of a strangers car).

he also is not easily embarrassed or scared. he can and will do crazy things in public places without being encouraged.

timmy can't sit still for longer than half an hour. there are two exceptions to this rule. 1. if he is editing photos and 2. if he is watching something he is very legitimately interested in.

timmy sings a lot, all day. he is singing right now. he actually has an amazing voice (he would never agree with this). he likes to make songs up. his silly singing can make me wet my pants- i'm not joking. he loves music and it always fills our house.

i remember the first time i went over to timmy's house. he sat at the beautiful grand piano in their living room and began to play 'easy like sunday morning'. after the first verse and chorus of the original melody and lyrics, the song turned into 50cent 'in da club' rapped to the piano accompaniment of 'easy like sunday morning'.

he makes me laugh to the point of tears every single day. he also make me feel overwhelmed with love every single day. i can't believe it's only been two years. i'm so excited for the rest of eternity.

p.s i'm 95% sure i am now feeling the baby move.

if i share with you my story...

this has been a strange week.
i'm listening to a great song right now (it will make you feel good and think about important things), timmy had to help me put the headphones on the right ears and the chord in the right hole.
i have been thinking about important things this week. things like life and family. i've had people i love pass away and people i love announce they're having babies. my pa (dad's dad) has alzhiemer's disease, we live right near them and i visited nan and pa with my dad the other day, it's hard to see my dad stare into his dad's eyes and try to communicate. sometimes these things make me cry. this week has had a few tears from me. last night i cried for no particular reason, timmy will tickle me or sing a crazy made-up song and i feel better.
i think the little things in life are meant to make you feel better, you have to hold onto things like crazy made-up songs, family, great music, iced ovaltine and a walk on the beach to help you feel OK. sometimes you need to just have a good cry. in the end you get by and have happy days with a sad one every now and then. and that's OK too.
